Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 April 2026 · Português

By using the DrivePass app, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with any part, do not use the app.

1. What DrivePass is

DrivePass is a mobile study app for the driving theory exam in Portugal, containing questions from the Portuguese Highway Code (Código da Estrada) and AI-generated explanations. It is a study aid — it does not replace the official training provided by driving schools accredited by the IMT (Portuguese road authority).

2. Account and access

There is no traditional account creation with name and password. The app uses a unique device-generated identifier to store your progress. If you reinstall the app or switch devices, progress tied to the previous identifier is lost (unless you are on the synchronised premium subscription).

3. Content

The Highway Code questions are in the public domain (official IMT dataset). AI-generated explanations are property of DrivePass and may not be redistributed or used to train other models without written authorisation.

4. In-app purchases and subscription

DrivePass is free in its base version. Premium features (unlimited AI explanation, full offline mode) are available via one-time purchase or subscription. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and governed by those platforms' terms.

Subscriptions auto-renew per the chosen period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can cancel any time in your Apple/Google account — the subscription remains active until the end of the paid period.

5. Refunds

Refund requests are processed by Apple or Google, not by DrivePass. Use the official portals:

6. Limitations of liability

DrivePass is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that:

Under no circumstances will DrivePass or its operators be liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the app, including exam failure, data loss or loss of profits.
